Sustainable Cities of Europe
Welcome! For two and a half weeks at the end of June 1999, our group of 11 students + professor traveled to London, Leicester, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Allborg, and Gothenburg. We observed how these cities are preparing for the future by working towards sustainability. The projects we saw and the people behind them that we met inspire us to get the move on at home in the United States.
I put together this site to show my pictures, both for the other group members to see and for others to learn from. Hopefully I've attributed each picture here to the correct city. I have a huge mound of pamphlets and other informational material from the trip that I may (time allowing) add to this site later, plus some more pictures I need to find.
