Slac.com is a domain owned and operated
by my friend Joe.
What is gnosis?
Gnosis is a Linux machine which resides (currently) in my closet. It acts
as a router for our apartment LAN, as well as a home base for about 30
users. It's a dedicated system on the net 24/7, and will be around for
at least a few more years (perhaps forever).
Why does gnosis exist?
Because I was bored a few years ago, and decided to set-up a machine and
start administering it full-time. Once I moved someplace where
high-bandwidth internet connection was available, it became a popular
machine for friends (and friends of friends) to make their permanent
home.
