THE MOONPATH TENEMENT COLLECTIVE

The stage for Purgatory is set in a tenement modeled after "Old Kentucky", the bording house which bore witness to the upbringing of Thomas Wolfe (Asheville, NC).

Drawn to this house are a dense array of brooding characters based on dead writers (Fyodor Dostoevsky, Antonin Artaud, Charles Bukowski, Virginia Woolf, William S. Burroughs, others).

The group is being made ready for God, but they'd gladly take eternity in Hell over one more day with eachother.
